The cover art has been provided once again by beloved Bare Threads collaborator Georgina Hounsome.

Georgina is an illustrator based currently in Penzance. We’ve been avidly following her latest endeavour, Studio Number Six, a hive of industry including the most beautiful drawing, printmaking, handmade books, letterpress, painting, design and illustration. Go and have a peek at Studio Number Six and at Georgina’s blog – you will be well rewarded!

We are also delighted that the very talented Gareth Phillips has once again provided us with an animated front page for this site. Thank you! You can view his other lovely work over at his own One Zero Sixty portfolio site.

Phil looked after us a treat & let us play with his hammond, rhodes, vintage amps & other toys!

Adam & Jack, guitar and bass from Bare Threads, are taking on the hardcore task of cycling from Lands End to John O Groats this September along with a motley crew of best friends to raise some funds for a charity which is very close to all our hearts.

They have just confirmed a fundraising party for The Big Ride. It will be at the Big Chill Bar in Bristol (In keeping with the BIG theme!) on Sunday 15th August from 12pm until 1am & I’d like to invite you to come along!

Here’s what you can expect on the day:

* Great music throughout the day and night from some top DJs and bands. Confirmed so far are Pick Up The Pieces DJs, Bare Threads and Western Super Bear. More TBC.
* An open-entry table-tennis tournament, with a very special prize for the winner!
* A mini table football tournament, outside on the terrace, weather permitting!
* A delicious barbeque on the terrace, hosted by the Big Chill Bar (also weather permitting!)
* A special tombola raffle with prizes donated by some of our generous sponsors.
* An auction of beautiful artworks, donated by some excellent local artists, which will be on display throughout the event.
* Other interactive artsy-crafty fun!
